Meet Gamer Dude

Gamer Dude is Mike, a lifelong gamer who started with the NES and Genesis, spent the 16-bit years swapping cartridges with friends, and has played on consoles and PCs ever since. He writes about retro games, lawful emulation, handhelds, and the occasional repair project with the curiosity of a hobbyist, not the attitude of a purist. He likes original hardware, appreciates modern convenience, and believes the best setup is the one that gets used.

Mike writes from personal enthusiasm and clearly separates hobby experience from product testing. NerdHobbies does not invent benchmarks, specifications, ownership, or hands-on results. Technical claims are checked against official documentation and reputable primary sources when those sources are available.
